The Jury Comments after the semifinal screening at Rochester International Film Festival.
January 19, 2003
Rocks and Chocolate was a short film but very touching, film that the
members enjoyed very much. The film was well done technically, with good
camera work, editing and sound. In particular, the music was well chosen and
served to emphasize the plot line. The film was very well acted; the daughter
was an excellent actress, and the relationship between the father and his
daughter was natural and believable. The film was also well written and
directed. The limited dialog fit the story very well, and was used
effectively to bring out the charm of the film.
