Teddy Sharkova grew up in Bulgaria.
She graduated from the AUBG with a BA in Journalism with emphasis on Television
and Documentaries. For a year she worked at a TV station in her hometown, Plovdiv,
where she pioneered a couple of entertainment TV shows. In 1997
Teddy went
to study filmmaking in the USA. In 2001 she graduated from SCAD
with MFA in Film and Video and an Award for Outstanding Achievements
in the Graduate Program.
She wrote the script for Rocks And Chocolate very much from her childhood memories. It is her first
film for which she is also Producer and Director.
She recently finished her first
feature film Red Thread.
